Vivo Alpha Quantum Fund
Vivo Alpha Quantum Fund seeks to generate long term stable capital growth by using quantitative methods, to identify attractive potential short-term opportunities based on movements in global equity markets. The Fund utilizes a highly quantitative approach to study, and analyse huge volumes of data about the past movements of financial prices taken from markets around the world.
The Strategy employs a range of statistical signals and filters that seek capturing medium-term trends in global futures and stock markets. This is accomplished by parsing and filtering voluminous, real-time market data (through computers applying statistical and mathematical algorithms and programs to the data) to isolate and identify specific price trends and patterns.
Due to its medium-short term focus, the Fund provides a distinct return profile that exhibits a low level of correlation to both traditional market indices and longer-term managed futures strategies. To complement its core mean reversion strategy, the Strategy also utilizes trend following and intermarket systems, which serve to improve the program’s risk-adjusted returns and enhance performance in trending market environments.

Mr. Yam is the Chairman and Founder of IAM, a Hong Kong-based investment company primarily engaged in public and private equity investments. Mr. Yam is a professional investor with expertise in telecommunications, finance, technology, and other investments. He has invested in thirty publicly listed companies on the Hong Kong Main Board and various international stock exchanges over the past 15 years. Mr. Yam was previously the chairman of Yan Oi Tong, one of the six largest charity organizations in Hong Kong, in year 2007, and also established Hong Kong's largest cancer fund, YOT Chong Sok Un Medical Fund (Cancer Aid), during his time as chairman.
Mr. Yam obtained his bachelor's degree of science from University of Toronto, majoring in Computer Science and Actuarial Science.
Mr.Tak cheung Yam
Mr. Lui has over 15 years in asset management industry, specializing in trading, strategy research, operation, IT development and risk control. He is the executive director in IAM and oversees the investment and operation.
Mr. Lui previously worked at Nomura from 2001 to 2006. He was responsible for designing and developing an automatic proprietary arbitrage trading system for traders and dealers in Asia Pacific. In 2009 to 2013, he worked as portfolio manager in two hedge funds, focusing on quant research and trading in equities, futures and forex. Since 2015, Mr. Lui worked as the head of trading and research in Kaisa Asset Management Limited and SP Topstone Capital Management Limited. In addition, Mr. Lui also has extensive experience in fund set-up, compliance and operational risk management relating to the asset management industry.
Mr. Lui received his B.S. in Computer Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and MS in Mathematical Finance at Rutgers, State University of New Jersey.
Mr. Hin Chuo Aaron Lui
Mr. Sze is the head of equity and quant research of IAM. He previously headed the small/mid-cap and gaming research and was a founding member of the Asia Ex-Japan research team at Mizuho Securities Asia Limited. Mr. Tse also worked at CCB International Asset Management Limited, Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (HK) Limited, China Everbright Research Limited, and Celestial Securities Limited.
